Stop Improving Yourself & Take Your Time

August 11, 2018

Is it only me that gets scared of knowing how time flies so quick? It felt like yesterday I went to a church for Sunday mass with my mom and now, in a few hours, I have to get ready for our Sunday mass again. A week felt like a day.

They said time moves fast when you are so busy. You get too focused on things you are doing and thus, you forget the time. We keep on moving forward, taking challenges, solving obstacles and getting better. We say 'yes' to daily challenges for the sake of 'improving ourselves'. We might have our own satisfaction when we successfully complete the tasks. However, one must ask themselves, how many more challenges do you want to take before finally you decide to rest?

Time is something precious that is given to each of us. It does not wait.
Time does not chase you, either.
I am not saying improving yourself in a constant manner is bad thing. No, it is definitely not. What I am saying is that one also needs to take a break and accept themselves - their current situation, relationship, physical health and shape; just for a period of time, accept where you are in life now and be grateful of it.

Accepting yourself could also be a form where you could recharge your energy and use the time to evaluate your progress.

I am always with the people who agree to never settle. Nevertheless, by accepting yourself and being grateful for who and where you are also allows you to stay still for a moment and let the good things and abundances find and come to you instead.

You and I, we actually have had everything we need to become the person we always dream of - yourself. Do not continuously challenge yourself just because your surrounding does that. Everybody might be at different states in life. We cannot compare our lives to them.

Stop improving yourself and start being grateful for what you are now.
Stop improving yourself and start being present with your surrounding.
Stop improving yourself and take a break to explore.
Stop improving yourself and start accepting who you have became.
Stop improving yourself and start appreciating the time.

You know when you have to go on a ride again when you have felt recharged and reenergised.

Just one thing, take your time.
