When my friend and I headed to Seminyak to have dinner, we passed by a shop at the corner of the road with glass windows. The place was new and thus, it stole my sight. We thought it was a shop selling cute stuffs just like any other shops in Seminyak do. In fact, it was a super duper comfy cafe that sells traditional street food which have been rarely found these days. I think this should be listed as one of the restaurants to visit in Seminyak, Bali.

'Bekal dari Ibu' that is the cafe's name. I am not sure whether 'cafe' is the right term to describe this lovely place. It is just basically a cozy place where you could order a variety of beverages and finger food that you could choose and pick. It is the best place to have snack time after satisfying your shopaholic soul in Seminyak.



I could watch the crowded and hectic Seminyak road while enjoying my Pisang Caramel Nutella and Pisang Oreo. These two are my favourites!! At that time, I realised that I was having a very good afternoon.

Foods that I tried were Pisang Caramel Nutella, Pisang Oreo, Martabak, Lemper Ayam and Risoles Smoked Beef Mayo. I personally much prefer the sweets than the savoury ones. For drink, I ordered Iced Pure Chocolate.


They have promotions every 7 PM - 9 PM where you could get one snack free for every two snacks you purchase during these hours. They also do delivery.

Surprisingly, I just knew that they actually open in Jakarta. However, I am pretty sure that the ambience would be so different compared to Bali. Thus, give it a go when you are in Bali! This place has insta-worthy spots, wifi and, most importantly, reasonable price. I am so happy to discover to super lovely place in Seminyak.

'Bekal Dari Ibu' in English means food from your mom. 'Bekal' is actually more like food that your mom prepares for you with love and you bring while going out, either to school or other trips.
