Drugstore: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation

June 08, 2013

Oh come on, who hates drugstore makeups? If there is a person who does, then it is absolutely not me!

I used to think that drugstore makeups were 'erghh'! I thought they had a very low standard but I think in fact they really did but now they are getting better, better and much better! I can spend hours touring in drugstore shops, mostly Priceline and Chemist Warehouse! Well, here in Australia the prices suck like seriously! They can charge a product with 2-3 times higher than you can find in States for exactly the same product. It's just not fair!

I've been living here in Sydney for almost a year. At first I didn't know about Chemist Warehouse. I thought it was really a store that sold chemist stuffies only. But after I knew it, I prefer shopping there to Priceline. The prices are crazy in Priceline but you can find convenience there that you can't find in, mostly, Chemist Warehouse. Und danke Gott, i live in Hurstville where I can find several stores of both Priceline and Chemist Warehouse.

Okay, go straight to the topic!

My current foundation is from a drugstore which is Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation. I bought this in ASOS as I found that the price is about half than they sell in the store! So crazy, right? I heard that it's only like around $18 in UK but here in Australia this product is around $30 if I'm not mistaken.

It is a very good foundation which has a great coverage, smells good like fruity, doesn't make you look cakey, and yeah you should try it! I bought two Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation because my first purchase doesn't suit my skin type as I bought it online and couldn't really have a guess on my own skin colour (what a shame!). So, I ordered my other Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel from Asos again which is still on the way to my house and hopefully it will suit my skin colour *fingercrossed*

It is mentioned that this foundation contains healthy ingredients that can give our skin a radiance boost. Said that it contains a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula for an even complexion and an instant anti-fatigue result! Further on this link.

My first purchase is on colour 53 which is a bit dark for me. So, I combine this foundation with Etude pressed powder so it won't look too dark. Or, I also apply this foundation on my neck so there will not show a contrast colour difference.

So, my overall score for this product: 4 stars out of 5 stars!

Now, I am looking for a great drugstore powder for my oily skin and still looking around for the best. Do you have any suggestion which product should I try? If you do just comment below and I definitely wanna try it out ;)

Love,
Edlyn
